Jamin Coller launches a crowdfunding campaign for a Community Recording Studio

Established musician and music educator, Jamin Coller launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign on March 29, 2016 for an establishing a Community Recording Studio for young talented musicians of the society. He is aiming to pledge $7,500 by May 3, 2016; the purpose of collecting these funds is to purchase professional music equipment for his recording studio, in order to make it a professional recording and training studio for young talented children of the society, who are not fortunate enough to afford this facility themselves.

Jamin Coller explained the need of this crowdfunding campaign and stated that, “We're really building a free recording studio for young, aspiring musicians and using it to launch the Young Musicians Association, where we create an amazing band/recording/performance experience for young musicians who can't create it for themselves. Recording studios charge anywhere from several hundreds up to thousands per song, but as an educator at heart, I'm happy to donate my time and technical know-how for this association, we just need the proper equipment to bring the dream to life. That is why we have launched this crowdfunding campaign”.

He recently established a full sound-proof studio for his private lessons and online broadcasts. The equipment available in his studio is currently sufficient enough to fulfill his teaching, recording and broadcasting needs, but for making his studio into a professional one he requires professional equipment which includes a professional soundboard, an acoustic/digital piano and a professional drum kit. But, this is what he plans to get if he manages to pledge just $7,500 from this crowdfunding campaign, if this campaign pledges anything above than $7,500 margin; he would invest in further more things like higher quality microphones, other instrument upgrades, software upgrades, compressors, etc.

“Once the studio is ready, we can officially launch the Young Musicians Association, where young musicians and bands tell us what songs they wish they could play and we pair them up with a free music mentor who helps them learn their songs, play with a band of their peers, and record in our studio! And then, as the culmination of the whole project, they sell their professionally recorded demo at the concert we host for them. All for free! We can do it! We're already doing most of it!”, stated Jamin Coller while discussing his plans after his professional recording studio is ready.
